Yu Jeong received her B.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Ohio State University (OSU) in 2011, and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2017. Her Ph.D. thesis work was on improving CAR-T and NK cell-based immunotherapies through combining with immune checkpoint blockade and chemotherapy drugs. She joined the Yang Lab in February of 2018. Yu Jeong worked on targeted drug delivery and off-the-shelf cell therapy for cancer.

Besides research, Yu Jeong enjoyed traveling, watching movies, and doing Yoga and Pilates.

After her postdoc training at the Yang Lab, Yu Jeong joined the Nkarta Therapeutics (South San Francisco, California) as a Scientist.
